Week 36

We finished off our birthing class this past week...boohoo! We had a great time and fell in love with our teacher. Last week Este said, "I dont think I know exactly what I'm suppose to do." I told him, "just do what I tell you and we'll be fine!" He's gonna be a great coach....I am dying to see him hold our lil one...what a dad he is going to make!
Our friends, Ken and Cherryl had a "Dominoes and Diaper Day" in honor of our baby girl this past Saturday. We had SO much fun and appreciated the diapers and other stuff we received. We havent seen some of the pple for over a year so it was such a nice time.
Last night, I put my rocker together and Este put up the window coverings. I'm getting really excited. Our changing table combo is not going to arrive until the middle of April...you hear that daughter...the middle of April (hint hint) I told my mom that I'm trying to keep my legs crossed :) I believe it was my friend Augusta who just reminded me that the Lord already has her due date set...since the foundation of the world....there's nothing I can do to change it or delay it. Another one of my friends said that the Lord already has her name picked out, we just have to pick it....oh what are friends for!
I am going to pack my bag this week and get it ready for the hospital. I am going to get an ultrasound tomorrow to check on her brain ventricles and also on thursday I'm going to my reg. doctor and he will then check my cervix...yikes!
I will keep you posted on the doctor updates!
We are also getting our back yard done...I will try and keep up on each stage of the process....it's been 2 1/2 years in the making:) Here are some pics!

Shower at week 35

So, I just got back from an extravogant shower that my family...including ceci...threw for me. It was a tea party with the theme "hats and heels." I, once again, feel so blessed to have these people in my life and have them shower us with their love, prayers and gifts.
On another note, I have been having some random cramping this week. My instructor said i need to drink more fluid. I talked with a few pple today at the shower who went 3 weeks early. So, i feel a major urgency to get the rest of the stuff we need and get it all ready for her...cause there is no telling when she will decide to grace us with her presence.
We have one more week of class, which I am going to miss tremendously!
I didnt get much sleep last night so I will stop for now but will leave some pictures:)

34 Weeks Photo

Here is my growing belly at 34 weeks.

Also, Este got me a new office chair this week and before we could retire my old one, Theo adopted it and became exec kitty! How can we get rid of it now? He seriously is in it ALL the time.

Mattress is in!

Thanks to a wonderful daddy! Slowly but surely it's all coming together. I put the bedding on the mattress today but am not sure how to attach the "hangy down things" to the crib correctly. I feel pretty useless today, so I'm not even gonna try.

We are still waiting for our changing table, we need to put the window coverings up, put the rocking chair together, and finish the walls...(hang the paintings, after they are all in, and I would like to have a scripture painted up on the wall) We'll get there one day :)

I will post belly pics in the next few days...mom and gussy:)

Week 34

I can't believe how fast time is flying! I'm starting to get real excited for contractions....if youre a mom already..please dont be rolling your eyes! It's just an exciting thought of BEGINNING the process....i would like to skip the active labor and transition!
Can you tell that we went to class tonight? The Lord is so good to me. Laughing is such a huge part of me...aint no gettin around it...and the Lord brought my hubby into my life that THRIVES on making me laugh (he has not always been like this...) Hence, birthing class always leaves me laughing to tears.
Have i mentioned how much i LOVE this class?! And we're already half way done...just 2 more weeks and that is it.
I went to the doc yesterday, and in three weeks, I gained 1 pound. That is a record for me, seeing that I have been averaging about 8 pounds every month. I have been walking almost everyday and really watching what I eat. I feel great! I hope I can keep it up until she comes.
I picked up our stroller yesterday, and this evening we got to pick up the crib bedding, 2 out of 3 paintings, window coverings, and a rug. We do not have our mattress yet, so we just took the stuff out and laid it over the crib. Thought I would give you a sneak preview of it. I can't wait to get it all together!
Este went and got a sleep study last night, so I had to spend the night by myself. It went well and we're excited to see how it helps him. I'm so glad to have him back with me!
Alrighty, that's pretty much it. I will leave you with some pics!

I found the kitty on his knees, thanking the Lord for his life

Our kitty, Theo, can sniff out an open window in China. He loves to jump up on the window and smell the fresh air and watch whats going on in the "unknown." Well, tonight, Este and I were in the office and he opened the window right behind him. Theo had been up and down a few times throughout the evening. Well, Esteban got this grand idea to scare him as he jumps up on window....Esteban taps the cat to scare him, the screen flies off the window (the 2nd story window) and the cat starts to fly outside. Theo's back claws dig into the drywall as esteban quickly grabs his "shaved fir" and he saves the cats life.
I can't think about what coulda happened...but just the fact that nothing did happen, I can look at it in such a humorous way. Poor Theo was STUNNED at what his father tried to pull off. His lil heart was beating and he laid right outside of the office looking in for a while, until he gained the nerve to step foot in the room again.
You know what they say, IT'S ALL FUN AND GAMES UNTIL THE CAT FLIES OUT THE WINDOW
