and now...she's almost 8 months...

Lack of motivation was not the issue

Really hope this blog portrays that PEP's our sunshine, actually the ray.
yup, i've been somewhat of a slacker when it comes to blogging. i've been busy but that sure doesnt mean that baby is not growing like crazy...especially in her personality!
my parents came up for a visit during thanksgiving and the girls are just crazy about them. i'm always hearing "tia!" come from olivia throughout the day. HOWEVER, when gamma and pops visit...not one tia was heard!
isabelle is a crackup! should i just list the "newbies" for this month???
*she rolls from her tummy to her back (este and i were playing with her on the floor and i was letting her butt dry out without a diaper and she seemed to feel so free! well she was movin all around -goin in circles- and she flipped from her belly to her back. well, at first it seemed so normal that i didnt say anything. then i looked up at este and said "is that the way that she cant go? and he said "yeah!" then we clapped and she clapped too and she's been doin it ever since. our gumption tells us she's been secretly doin it in bed for a while :))
*she claps
*she is a dance-a-holic (yesterday us girls were having a dance party in the living room to some wonderful christmas music and she shoulda been flying as hard as she was flapping her arms...will get this on video for yall!)
*she signs MORE...it is soooo cool to see her communicating...other than crying!
*she has been eating bits of table food and therefore not too into babyfood. im telling myself that our goal is to get her on our food...so that's okay!
*her feet are ticklish. this morning i was takin her foot, as she watched very closely. i would rub my finger up her foot as she would flinch and we would look at each other and smile/giggle!
*she gets extremely distracted while i nurse , seems to not be very interested...too bad baby...ya got a few more months of me!
*she drinks pretty well from the bottle
*she loves to brush her teeth
*she still loves her bath. yesterday she didnt want to get out so i left her in there to get a lil more wrinkly!
*she fake coughs ...that's awesome!
*she finds the cat hilarious!
*she is no longer scared of deep voiced men:) (so it seems)
*she's a hit in the nursery!
this is what i can think of right now. i hear her in her crib just talkin away so i better go snag her. if i wait to put pics up, you might never get this. hopefully pics will be coming soon!

7 months?
youve gotta be kiddin me?
we spent the last couple of weeks preparing for my friend, ceci's, surprise birthday party! it was busy but so much fun. kitty and belle have become quite the pals. he even jumped up on my lap yesterday while i was holding her and started "pawing" on her chest. it was hilarious and she loved it. she even grabbed a handfull of whiskers and he didnt do anything. what a good kitty! other than that, not too much has been happening other than taking lots of pics. i dont think you all mind:)

why oh why
do i have an unedited post that was not posted? because something happened to our memory card and now the pictures are unavailable. on oct. 26, i wrote some notes down in a blog to remind myself for the next day to talk about and post some pics.
well i didnt get to it and then i couldnt get my pics sooo...here's to a big bummer. we are still waiting the verdict to see if the pics can be recovered.
so whats been goin on since? let me just bullet a whole bunch of random things, please.
*grammy and pops came to visit...we had a blast. the girls are in love with them. even today, olivia was in the car and said, "pops, grandma!"
* we went to a pumpkin patch with them and the girls...they had so much fun and i got so many good pics...ahem! anyways, they left and i believe it was 2 days later, peppy's first tooth broke through. within days, her second one poked through too. sleeping has gone much better the last few days...praise the LORD.
*on Halloween, we went to a church in temecula where they had all kinds of stuff to do. it was like a harvest festival. olivia got to ride a lil horse...and pep just got to watch and hang out with grandma cindy! she had a blast! she loves to be out and watch people!
* last week, heidi and i went to the grocery store, winco, and it's so huge, it just takes forever...even running (not that ive tried or anything) so by the end, the girls had just had it. olivia had isabelles nuk...well by time we were at the checkout line, i asked for it back...while heidi got isabelles sippy cup of water and tried giving it to olivia. so at winco, we have to bag our own groceries. it was nuts. isabelle started crying so heidi went over to her to calm her down while i bagged. as heidi was tending to belle, olivia started crying, "mommy!" so here we were with 2 crying, loudly, children and 2 moms trying to bag as quickly as possible. it got so ridiculous we just started laughing. it was a sight to behold! in the midst of the whole thing, olivia chucks her dolly. a lady came and picked it up and said, "aww, is this what you want!" heidi graciously said, "no but thankyou!" heeehee. you'll never guess. as soon as we got out the doors....the crying completely stopped. are you kidding? hahahahahhahaa! i think everyone in winco thought we were the worst mothers...laughing as our children we bawling their eyes out.
anyways, you just get to that point, ya know?
* isabelle started sleeping on her belly this week. she still doesnt go from her belly to her back so she's still getting used to it...however, we are practicing daily on turning over from belly to back. as soon as we get her in her crib, she wants on her belly.
* we have realized she gets punchy at night just like her mommy! every night we do our routine to put her down for bed and she gets so happy and giggly. even me getting boogies out of her nose, which usually upsets her, makes her laugh. wow, what a joy!
*we got her the cutest headband the other night...will have to get some pics. she looks like an anne geddes baby!
* we were at the mall yesterday and este had pep out in the middle while heidi and i were in gap. well, he had her sitting on one of the empty kiosks. an older lady walked by and looked and then took a double glance over at her. she came over and said, "i thought you were holding a doll and then i saw her move!" that's my baby!
* she has been sitting in the store carts without her car seat the last week or so. she loves it! the first time i put her in one was in tjmaxx. we passed by a mirror and she saw herself and couldnt believe it. she looked so proud!
* we got a new lens this past week and este has been practicing so much. he does awesome! so we are planning on taking our own family pics this week:)
*pep loves theo. this morning he came up and cuddle with her on my lap. even laid his head on her belly/chest. she laughed the whole time. he let her play with his ear and fur.
okay okay, i think that's enough for now. here's to hoping our pictures make it back safely to us:)

mama!
This week my brother and husband went on a solitude retreat and so us four girls were left at home. Totally missed the men but us girls know how to have a good time. yes, shopping was involved! The first night that este was gone, I went to a place where my friend, lisa, was painting live. it was really great and I got to see some people that i havent seen in at least a year. the next day, i had to take peppy to her 6 month dr. appointment/shot. this is the second time i've gone without este and the dr. always talks about how he is always with me. i love that. i also love pep's doctor. on this particular day, i realized just how much my darling baby is growing up! this was the first time i took her in the office NOT in her car seat. she just sat with me in the waiting room, on my lap, playing with her froggy and then all of a sudden she turned and looked up at me and smiled and then continued to play. oh my goodness, how fun is this??? everyone commented on how cute she was and then we went back to the room where she SAT up on the table with a little bit of help. i couldnt believe i was staring at my daughter...wowsa! she was 28 1/2 inches long and 18 lbs. her height is still 100% and her weight is lowering to 88%. love that she is so healthy. she was wonderful for the doctor...no crying...and loved the wooden stick the doc gave her. and for her shot...she just cried when it went in..and nothing after that. what a big girl.
we went and picked up the other girls, heidi and olivia, at the mall and headed to chipotle...mmmm. and off to the outlets we went. we found some wonderful deals...i even got a shirt for pep for .99 cents at old navy. i almost got all of it for free, seeing that my baby was crying and i wanted to get out of the store so bad that i forgot to pay for my stuff. i didnt quite make it out of the door before heidi asked if i had paid. so embarrassing. we had lots of fun and ended the night with a movie.
my este came back to me thursday morning, how i miss it when my partner is gone! he received his renewed license which is a miracle from the LORD and we went to eat thai last night for a celebration! this morning we went to 'riley farm' to see how the pioneers did it. the girls enjoyed their time and once again, isabelle just seemed so much bigger to us. she sat up in her stroller for the first time without the car seat and loved watching everyone.
oh yeah, she also has begun saying mama when she cries. ahhhhh! how can i ignore her when she is saying that??? she has been laughing a lot this week too. can you tell we enjoy our baby?!
now the kiddos are waiting for gramee and pops to visit in the morning. they have never been with both of their grandchildren at the same time...this will be fun.
