since it has been so long since i have posted, i will post a few different blogs...so we'll start back a few weeks ago. (about a week before christmas)
esteban and i had to take my brother to the airport in the desert b/c he was going to wisconsin for christmas. that morning we woke up and este's parents called and asked if they could have peppy for the day...soooo...we gladly obliged them :)
after dropping billy off, we decided to do some christmas shopping at costco before we went and did a few things for work that we had in the desert. when we got to costco, we were walking into the massive entrance and i heard a lady talking to a man and she said, "the late great planet earth." i initially thought in my head, "oh, she must be a christian." and then i looked and i saw that she was talking to, none other but HAL LINDSEY himself (the author...and well, we are a big fan of his tv show, too) my heart started racing as i tried to explain to esteban my discovery. we went inside the store and waited for him to come in. when he entered i said, "hello Hal lindsey!" (as if i needed to prove to him that i knew his last name!) he shook our hands and said hello and God bless. then este asked if i could get a picture with him (with my phone...which totally didnt come out good but you can still tell that it's hal) he agreed and put his arm around me. did i mention my heart was just pounding the whole time?!
well este and i were in the store for, what seemed like a year, and towards the end of our field trip through costco, we spotted hal again. heehee. we started looking at his buggy...yes, i said buggy, to see what all he was getting. sure enough, he started to turn around towards us and we quickly hid ourselves as we walked the other way. stalker? i dont think so!
after our shopping trip, and some work, we decided to make our trek back to murrieta, to pick up our belle and go to some friends' house. este decided to take me the back way where he had recently saw some snow. i gladly submitted and we went on our way:)
we were driving through the mountain on a 2 lane road, chatting it up, when este goes, "whoooa" and the car heading toward us was fish tailing. este pulled to the side and as soon as it passed us, we looked back and it totally flipped! i was FREAKING out as este reversed the car. as the car was flipping back up, i saw that the passenger's window was open and his arm was kinda out of it. reminder: i get light headed with splinters! este, being the man he is, jumped out of the car and checked on them. there was a lil blood and they were in shock but other than that, they were alright. yikes! what a trip to go on to NOT EVEN SEE A LICK OF SNOW....it must have melted...uh huh!
we had such a wonderful day together, brought back lots of memories of before peppy's time...however this time, we had a little treasure to look forward to seeing.
