tackle it tuesday: FAITH

No, there's not going to be a before/after picture of our messy bedroom, out of control drawers, or "need to be weeded" back yard. Today I wanted to discuss the thing that has been in the process of being tackled in our hearts...faith...or lack there of.
We have been in a grueling two year battle of FAITH. The Lord has given us promises to cling to, confirmations unheard of and yet unbelief seems to still take precidence sometimes. One of the toughest things to deal with is seeing where we believe the Lord has said we are headed, deliverance, and yet our physical circumstances tend to take us the opposite way. This is a tough time to put all our faith and trust in our Lord. Doubt always creeps up and thoughts of, "are you sure that's what the Lord gave you?" tend to rise.
Last Wednesday was a really tough day for me. I battled it out with the Lord in prayer and wondered why He hadn't struck me down for the anger I showed. Compassionate and merciful. That night at church, hysterically, the message was on faith and standing firm on the promises our God has given us. He can be trusted...in fact, HE wants us to trust Him. We left feeling like we (Este) needed to send out an email declining man's wisdom and tools and sharing the promises of the Lord and that we are waiting for Him to move in our behalf. This email was sent to, what we believe to be, unbelievers...but sent out with prayer that the Lord would display His power and might to change their status as believers.
We were anxious, scared and excited to see that email sent out on Sunday night. We believe we are going to see a miracle. I can't wait to share it with the world. Until then, this heart is being tackled and surrendered to a life of faith that we are called to.
Please pray for the Valenzuela family.
"Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord-that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful." James 5:11
